And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

This life is full of unanswered questions. Many times, the promises we’ve gotten from others wind up unfulfilled. When the world shoves all the glitz and glamour in our faces, they make it seem like peace and safety are their direct result.
That couldn’t be farther from the truth.
They offer only half bridges. The unwitting crowd goes in thinking you’ve found a way that finally works. However, somewhere down the line, the jolting realization that the bridge cuts off abruptly around the middle comes. Hope vanishes. Unfortunately, it’s too late for many by then.
The bridge Christ offers doesn’t operate that way. It is perfect and it goes all the way. The peace and safety He promises have been experienced by millions. Millions more today are basking in it, even when hard times come. He is the only bridge that connects humanity with God- the giver of all things good and perfect.
As you come to Him, let your confidence soar. Let every passing day find it growing stronger and stronger. Every fear you feel, every problem that’s enlarged before you are mere illusions. Treat them as such.
Your Captain is mightier than all. Trust Him to conquer your foes for you. That situation will not destroy you. Be strong and very courageous. You will not plunge into an abyss all of a sudden. You will walk victoriously into your rest.
Don’t hide this privilege. Tell your loved ones. Tell your friends and colleagues. This is a responsibility you must not take lightly. Start small, but start. Tell them that this Bridge goes all the way, that it is devoid of bitter disappointment. It isn’t always easy, but you must trust Him to help you.
And He will, because He has promised to.
